Notifications & Messaging

Every learner has a notification bell with an unread count and a notifications page listing event types such as nudges, assigned surveys, and assigned courses. Admins also get notified when Prism proposes a gap. In-app notifications always appear; email delivery is controlled per event type by the org admin.

Learners see the bell in the top nav; the inbox lists each notification with its type, message, and time. Clicking marks it read; Mark all as read clears the badge. Hover a read notification to mark it unread (flag it to revisit) or delete it, and use Clear read to remove every handled notification at once.

Admins send nudges directly from readiness analytics to a specific member.

Admins configure which events also email under Admin → Settings → Messaging (toggles for nudges, surveys assigned, courses assigned, and gap proposals). In-app notifications are always on and cannot be disabled per type.

• Notifications are org-scoped and keyed to the recipient; a user can only read, mark, or delete their own.
• Nudge messages are length-limited and HTML-escaped in email; a nudge can only target a member of the same org.
• If no mail provider key is configured, email is simply skipped.
