Notifications & Messaging

Every learner has a notification bell with an unread count and a notifications page listing three kinds of events: nudges, assigned surveys, and assigned courses. In-app notifications always appear; email delivery is controlled per event type by the org admin.

Learners see the bell in the top nav; the inbox lists each notification with its type, message, and time. Clicking marks it read; Mark all as read clears the badge.

Admins send nudges directly from readiness analytics to a specific member.

Admins configure which events also email under Admin → Settings → Messaging (three toggles: nudges, surveys assigned, courses assigned). In-app notifications are always on and cannot be disabled per type.

• Notifications are org-scoped and keyed to the recipient; a user can only read and mark their own.
• Nudge messages are length-limited and HTML-escaped in email; a nudge can only target a member of the same org.
• Email sends are graceful no-ops when no mail provider key is configured.
